Pastor Keinon L. Washington
Keinon L. Washington is the dynamic and inspiring Pastor of Grace Fellowship Covenant Church in Matteson, IL, a non-denominational church. He was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and is the firstborn and oldest of ten siblings. He is the loving, caring, and committed husband to his wife of 18 years (and counting), Elder Lovell Washington, and resides in Orland Park, IL.
Keinon's education consists of two degrees in Electronic Engineering and some Electrical training. The passion came from the belief that if it's broken, what's the worst that can happen; either I can fix it, or it remains broken. That is the way that Pastor Keinon looks at things. Sharing with people that you tried it your way, why not try God?
His love for God came at a young age when he sang as a little boy in the choir with the adults. Every time the Church had skits or plays, He was there participating. It was then that he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Pastor Keinon, with a humble and submissive spirit, gladly accepted the call of God in ministry to teach and preach the Word of God in 2000. Later in 2019, He accepted God's call to Pastor, His flock. He often shares his testimony of how God drew him and changed his life. God has indeed given him a shepherd's heart. You can find him often sitting after Worship service, listening to and offering prayer and counseling to our members in need. He is untiring in his commitment to teaching the Truth in Love (Ephesians 4:15 NIV) and sharing the Gospel of Jesus so all will have an opportunity to be redeemed and have a genuine relationship with God. His motto is "Everyone willing can be redeemed."
He is a worshipper who recognizes God as the ruler and the Word of God as the only authority. He believes in being himself and who God has called him to be. His style of preaching and teaching is to be first led by the Holy Spirit, bringing the word to this generation on a level relatable to their struggles. He's often heard saying, "Give It to Me Simple."
Pastor Keinon believes in reaching out, touching, and being among the people just as Jesus did. He believes in a hands-on ministry where the love of God is not just spoken with words but shown by our actions through kindness and compassion to everyone.
